TRAINING

Training is delivered by our qualified staff, in partnership with registered training organisations or collaboratively with other community organisations.
Volunteering Central Coast offers training and education workshops that cover a wide variety of topics, including communication in the workplace, volunteers and your legal responsibilities, work health and safety, boundaries, cultural awareness, volunteer management and an introduction to the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement.
Our initial training for prospective volunteers – Bridge to Volunteering – is a one-hour workshop that covers:
- What is volunteering
- The benefits of volunteering
- Volunteer rights and responsibilities
- Preparing to volunteer
- Types of roles that may be available
