Becoming a Member of
Volunteering Central Coast


As the peak Volunteer Support Services organisation for the region, Volunteering Central Coast is a member-based organisation with a mission to enable community engagement, inclusion, and growth through quality volunteering. 
Membership is open to all for-purpose organisations or groups that involve volunteers to deliver their activities and services wanting to provide volunteering best practice.

We help you find the right volunteers for your organisation.
Volunteers will be referred to you:
  • From a range of applicants attracted to Volunteering Central Coast from a range of marketing and communication
  • With a sound understanding of volunteering rights and responsibilities 
  • Matched to skilled roles – we will find you the right people
  • With the skills, experience, and ability to work on discrete projects by negotiation
Our members include a wide range of organisations that deliver services to our communities here on the Central Coast.

Member benefits


As a member organisation, the people who manage or coordinate your volunteers will have access to:
  • A community liaison team who will keep in regular contact
  • Free or discounted training and events for volunteers and volunteer managers/coordinators
  • Resources including templates for 30+ volunteer role descriptions
  • Confidential assistance with issues regarding volunteering, the volunteer sector and volunteer management
  • Quarterly volunteer managers and coordinators forum
  • Regular e-newsletters, sharing knowledge, resources and contemporary practice
  • Assistance with your promotional activities, e.g. for National Volunteer Week

  • Registration of volunteer roles on the VCC recruitment portal
  • Placement of vacancies on 7+ websites, and social media
  • Promotion of vacancies on local radio and print media
  • Advice on creating effective volunteer roles and recruitment ads
  • Access to VCC’s online ‘Volunteer Rights and Responsibilities’ training for your new volunteers

Volunteer interviewing


  • All potential volunteers have the opportunity to attend a VCC Volunteering information session
  • We complete a one-on-one VCC intake interview so we can ensure a match between the applicant’s skills, experience, and availability for your roles
